What is Mental Health?

"Mental" simply refers to the brain ("mens" in Latin). So, mental health is really just brain health.
The brain is the control centre for everything we do - our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
That's basically what mental health is all about - the ability to think and feel in healthy ways, which leads to effective behaviour.
Just like we take care of our heart, lungs, and liver, we need to take care of our brain too, because it's an organ just like any other.
You can go to the gym, drink your water and take your vitamins but If you don’t deal with what is going on in your head and heart, you’re still going to be unhealthy.
